reboot, check volume slider, mute, and cables, or do a system restore.!!

Check in device manager to see if there are problems with soundcard.0

Check in you "Sound" in the control panel to make sure an updated driver or something has not changed your output from (for example) a soundcard to a USB sound source.
I find occasionally that it will update and reset my default sound output to my USB soundcard which is connected to my recording studio microphone.Signaller, author, father, carer.0
