mobiles.co.uk cashback deal - help me get it right first time please

Options
Hi all,

on 17/09/2010 i took out a £25 24 motnh contract with mobiles.co.uk on orange with 12 months 1/2 line rental

So far i have received two bills from orange dated 17/09/2010 and 17/10/2010

I have also ported my phone number to this contract - and have yet to tell mobiles.co.uk

I have read the mobiles.co.uk bits on claiming back and have made the assumption that i am entitled to £150 cash back (12 months half price) and therefore for my first claim i need to submit my 6 months bill "March Bill" as mobiles.co.uk calls it - but i will actually receive this on 17th February 2011 from orange????

My questions are....

1. Exactly which bill do i need to send and when.
2. do i need to tell them i have ported my number - the 1st bill has the original number, the 2nd bill has the ported number - both bills have the same account number with orange (thus in my mind) proving it is still me with the same contract

I plan to send it recorded delivery via royal mail and send copies - holding onto the originals myself

Thanks for any advice!

    hiya,

the date of connection is the date on the invoice which you would have got when the phone was delivered.

go onto the web site - customer service - cashback claims - claims over £100 ( i would post a direct link but for some reason I cant!)

also i just email scanned/downloaded copies of my bills and it doesnt matter bout your ported number.

Also on a positive note, Mobiles.co.uk have fine tuned the cash back process and my last claim took all of 3 weeks from sending email copy of required bill to receiving my cheque:D

    1) March as soon as it arrives (and stop counting bills).

    2) Yes - and make sure they confirm it in writing; take nothing for granted with this outfit.
  • Thanks mobilejunkie - so we're saying it's the march one that i should receive around march 17th and will say

"Bill Date and Tax point : 17 Mar 2011"

PS. my date of connection was 17 Sep 2010 (the day i ordered the phone)

Yes, it is your March 2011 bill that's required for your 1st cashback claim.
Please make sure you get comfirmation of your porting prior to making your 1st claim (as mj has pointed out in his 2nd answer), this is very important. Keep it safe, it may be needed as back-up.

    Good luck.
