Have a look at the Breed Rescue Pages on DogPages. They're not local to you but as they're coordinators they probably know of dogs available countrywide.
ETA: Please be wary of classified ads - they are likely to be Puppy Farmers or at best 'Back Yard Breeders' who don't all have the dogs best interests at heart.
Edited again to add that there is quite alot of info on the Wire Fox Terrier Association Website including a list of breeders in Scotland."No matter how little money and how few possesions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin0 -
I'd just like to say a big THANKS to everyone who helped in my search.

There is a spray from pets at home you can get which encourages the pups to wee where you want them to costs less than a fiver and it does seem to work when i remember to spray it as it is niffy and smells of wee.
And a puppy cage is a wonderfull thing for all the right reasons, we bought one which is big enough for her indoors and will also fit the car and she goes in there when i go out it saves her chewing something she shouldnt or chewing electrical cables or anything unsafe to her and shes happy enough to go in and gets put in when the little man is tearing about. We put papers in front of it so she can wee when she wakes up but most of the time the door is open and she goes in for some peace. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Hi Again PP's,
Would like your opinion if possible!
Due to circumstances i could not get the pup till last week.
After sending pics via email etc and chatting on the phone i decided which pup i'd take.
Although it was some trek to fetch the dog, my cousin was by-passing the area so i just gave her the money (£500) to save on the journey.
When she returned (pup is beautiful BTW) she told me she had to drive the 90miles home with the windows down as the dog was stinking!
(She said the lady ran kennels)
She entered her house with OH and said it was filthy and the smell turned her tummmy.
I had to bath the dog twice and still couldn't get rid of the smell, then i noticed it had a nasty sore bit on it's paw, but i put it down to puppy fighting as she still had all her litter.
Took it for it's first jab today, told the vet about the lady, he told me the sore on it's leg was due to it lying in its own urine, he advised me to call the RSPCA as 1. Pup's ill treated and 2. Should she be running a kennel's.
What you think i should do ? Go ahead and ring the RSPCA or ignore it?But first, the most asked question:

Speaking as a non-dog lover (!), I'd definitely report it. Thats terrible.Threadhead0
