Orange business contract sucks
Options
I have been orange SIMonly customer for years. Bought a phone for my business recently from the nearest Orange shop. My intention was use skype on mobile. I have been suggested Sony Erricsson from the sales man at shop.
I have made at least 5-6 visits to shop before buying it. No one was clear what documents are required for buying business contract. Every sales man had their own list. I had to finally get a list of documents required in writing on a paper and get that sorted out.
Finally bought the phone on 18 months contract. Only to learn that orange network does not support skype. Just a day after buying it. As I bought it in shop, distance selling regulation does not apply and I cant return the phone. Stuck with this.
At last I have made up my mind to live with this phone. But Now they have barred my call saying that Address proof submitted is not sufficient.
Went to nearest shop, submitted the doc asked them to fax it over to cust care. They said they did it. Now if I call the cust care, they say that fax machine was not working on that day and asking me to send again.
Adding to that, they have sent a bill of £268 for first month. With data charges of £168.00 i.e 65MB data usage for two days...
Its almost a waste of good 2 months for buying this brick on contract. I do not want to use this any more.
What options do I have . Calls are barred for more than 4 weeks now.
I have not been given any T&Cs about the contract, so completely in Dark. Please help me what can I do to get rid of this headache.
Its a mis sale at first point, secondly without these documents and without they providing service contract is not in place. Will I be able to do something about it. Any suggestion is welcome
