  • Stop talking you lot, we'll having nothing to talk about tomorrow. :D

I think we are meeting Dundeedoll early too, and then we can all just sort of double back to the train station? Can someone suggest somewhere obvious in the station where we can meet? I've had a nap, am going to have dinner and then pack and get to bed for ten. :)

My Hubby's from Walsall, a really dire part haha, but his mum and dad are so wonderful, and they brought him up so well. He still calls me a posh snob, though I am far from that!

I love catching the train into Birmingham from Burton now, only one stop inbetween at Tamworth, comfy seats, a lovely man walking up and down the isles with wine&food...such peace and quiet, I might get to read my book...Yippee!!! Debating whether I can can get away with having a glass of red at 9am...but I think that will be pushing it a little ;)

Never to early for wine, just think of it as a poor mans champagne breakfast :rotfl::rotfl:

Right I have to disappear now for the evening, get tea on etc. So I shall check email/thread tomorrow before I leave to Brum so if anyone changes their mind and can/can't come I shall see it.

Anyone travelling tomorrow stay safe and look forward to meeting you all :D

Sorry no :o I don't go into New Street so don't know it well enough to advise on this one......

 I'm here!!!! I really should be in the shower and getting organised....................
I am in South Brum in what Tapper's H referred to as the posh side (I am so NOT posh I hasten to add, spit and sawdust kinda gal me ;)) If you know my side of town you'll have a reasonable idea of where LOL Dunno why I am being cloak and dagger about where I live as anyone that knows me would probably be able to find out looking at what I've posted in the past :rotfl::rotfl:

I used to listen to Malcolm Boyden on Radio WM and he used to refer to people living in your area as being posh, 'cos most people round there had 2 toilets :D (But he also said people from there were: 'All furcoat 'n' no knickers' :rotfl:

My train gets in at 10.40 ish (I could get one an hour earler, but that gets into Moor Street Station at 10.10 and then 10 mins or so to walk to New Street, plus only a couple of minutes to change trains at Worcester, so I'll stick to original plan ;))

How about meeting here: See below

From New Street Station: Pass through the main ticket barrier (not the Victoria Square exit) and go up the escalator opposite. Turn left and go round the corner to the New Street entrance/exit at the junction of New Street and Corporation Street. Go down the ramp, turn left and cross the road to go past the Information Point. Walk up New Street towards Victoria Square. Bennetts Hill is the fourth street/passage on your right almost at the top of the hill. Turn into Bennetts Hill and the Briar Rose Hotel is on your right, just before the pub of the same name.

    See you all tomorrow!

I just thought, could I have someones moby number because....

due to us breaking down xmas before last, and 2 blow outs on the motorway I always travel in fear  I never assume that I will get anywhere :rotfl::rotfl:and I would hate you to be sitting there and thinking that I just didn't turn up cos I couldn't be bothered :rotfl::rotfl:

Also am a bit worried as the pub seems rather large, not sure I want to be going round looking at large groups of people incase we are asked...what you lookin' at :D

And just for the record, I also speak to anyone and everyone, bus queues, doctors waiting rooms.....I think I am known locally as that there mad southern woman who keeps talking to us. Perhaps one day they will actually understand me and talk back lol
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

  • For those meeting in new street the best place I can think would be coming out of the ticket barriers(Like Bitsy said) and meeting outside the MILLIES COOKIES...if you walk out of the barriers, Millies is on you LEFT, This brings you out right in the middle of New Street. We would then go up the 'scalators and out down the ramp :) I think thats the best way/place.
Jackie has my number, if anyone wants to PM me theirs then do so :D I'll be in town at 10.09am, so I think(apart from gintot who is there now) we will be the first arriving?
*think* wonder if they sell champers on the train...hmmm...that and a pastry would be brilliant!!!
I am going to order a chinese now, nom nom, pack my bag and try get an early night *snort* see you all in the 'morrow!!!!
