Ah Marie sorry to hear about cold/flu still with you and what a pity you cannot make it - but this year I promise I shall take myself to Dublin again and will visit you (and perhaps with some luck get chucked out of pubs again hehehehe!). Lots of love to you and DH xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Sorry to hear you can't make it Marie, another time!

I have found my safety pin, I remembered that ages ago I had a cardi that fastened with a huge pin, like a kilt pin with dangly bits on it, the cardi is long gone but found the pin as I saved it for something.

So said pin will be worn with pride next Saturday :D

Am now worried that I will be searching for people with safety pins and sit at a table with people who can't mend their clothes :rotfl:

Am really looking forward to this meet, be so nice to put a face to the names xx

  • Oh no God forbid! I suppose I could make an effort with the pins, the times I've met Marie, she's put me to shame with her pins - she even remembers which meet each one is for :D

Taplord says we will be easy to spot, me with my safety pin and him looking like an extra from Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels:D

We're hoping to meet up with some of you at the railway station. Perhaps someone should stand with a placard saying Old Style!:D

This time next week we'll all have met!:j

Looking forward to this meet very much now! Only a (small) regret is that I did not wait for the trains deals to come out so Mr Caterina and I will have to spend a long-ish time (3 hours each way) traveling on the Megabus coach. Ah never mind, hopefully it will be a relaxing journey.

    See you all soon! x

I've got this long waterfall type cardi/wrap thing and the other day I saw a pin with some dangly bits on, so bought it so that I can 'close' it up. I shall be wearing that then..............tho' it may be a bit bloomin' hot - bearing in mind my 'tropical moments' :rotfl:- in the pub!

Taplady what time does your train get in........and which station?
