My Prayers Are Answered

This is my first post and need some help. I am a faithful worshipper at my local church as well as performing some church duties during the week. In addition I have the need to visit my temple to pray and worship once each month. This amounts to £80.00 per month in fuel costs (My Temple Visit uses £30.00 of Fuel). I would be extremely vulnerable without the spiritual and temporal care I derive from these. I am preparing for bankruptcy when I have saved sufficient money for fees which will be March 2011.
I live in a rural location and my Temple is 2 hours drive away. Will this expense be considered or rejected from the beginning.

It will be difficult to get it passed but you never know. Also do you tithe or contribute financially to your temple as this has certain rules as wellHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Yes I do pay tithe. I would like all the information please. My plan is to save £900 during the next five months to enable my wife and I to go bankrupt. I am on pension credit and my wife is on state pension therefore we qualify for remission of £150 court fee.0

Speak to your temple, they may be able to sort something out to enable you to continue visits.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. can you not worship at home?
God, or whoever you worship, is everywhere so should be available to you wherever and shouldn't require nor request such huge costsThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -

Then you wont be asked to pay anything from your income to the bankruptcy so you can spend it as you likeHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

I don't see how the OR would see this as an essential outgoing each month, but maybe you could show willing and offer to reduce your visits to the temple/not donate to them etc etc and meet the OR half way about it and maybe they'll understand that its obviously a very important part of your life. As above though, God doesn't require you to go to a temple etc so its not really a 100% necessary outgoing....0

But as i said above, as they wont be asked to pay an IPa it doesnt matter what the OR does or does not like about their expenditureHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

I have such a hard time with this, so will try to leave personal feeling out of it.
If you are in a place where bankruptcy is your only option then I can not see how you can afford to give the church any amount of your little state pension.
Is the church offering practical support by way of food parcels ?
Are they aware of your case ? could someone collect you and take you to church ?
Are you JW or Mormon ?There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.
