If he doesn't pay, let it go. You can't spend your time worrying about this one buyer. Just be thankful he hasn't conned you and move on.

Why do you feel the need to do this? Just lodge an NPB dispute against him once you can and wash your hands of him.

Why do you feel the need to thank a post that says most polish people are ok?Most PEOPLE are ok, buts its the few that aren't that cause the problem
If anyone on here had queried they were being scammed,would you say,oh,dont worry,most english,chinese, welsh,spanish people are ok?Thanks to all,partic soolin for his/her advice.

Correct most people are nice i think your opening post stating that they were polish seemed to imply that you had a concern because they were polish?
Anyway in my experience the language barrier isn't a problem you only need the bare minimum to bid and pay for an item if that! All the polish buyers i've had have been nicer in general than my more local buyers, (just an observation) paid cash and once with a £50 note for something that only sold for £43 and he told me not to worry about the change :eek: I've still got that £50 note rare items them :rotfl:

You don't post overseas - he has a UK address so no problem there
You can't read his email? Is it in Polish? - Use an online translation so no problem there.
He hasn't yet paid and you haven't sent the item so no problem there (Just open a NPB after 4 days)

If he pays then send it by a trackable method.......

Do you have your BIN's as immediate payment? If you don't offer best offers it may be worth asking for immediate payment.
In your original post you say that you asked him to pay again, did you refund the original payment?

Yes, I must concur with that too - Poles turn up with the right money and a broad smile. Locals often expect me to have change (I do, just in case) and sometimes try to haggle (which I don't).

DuckEgg - it was you who mentioned that he was Polish in the first place. I've got a feeling that you googled him in response to him not speaking good English in his communication, but I also get the feeling you're making a bit of a fuss over nothing.

I think he's concerned because the guy seems to be a serial NPB and has allegedly conned someone into sending him an item before he pays. I don't think he has a problem with someone being Polish, but I can't really see beyond that why make so much fuss about someone like this and not just deal with him as you would deal with any other NPB. I don't tend to look at anyone else's transactions beyond my own; all that matters is I get paid and the item gets sent only when someone has paid. Beyond that, the buyer could be Minbari, Bajoran, or even Dalek for all I really care.

I agree with Hermum - if you don't want NPBs, either don't sell on eBay in the first place (it's the system which permits NPBs in general) or if you do make the necessary arrangements to ensure prompt payment, or go with the flow and accept it as an occupational hazard. You don't seem to be a person who would fall for a scam, and there's no other way they could physically get your item without paying for it.
