Which Network To Go For On HTC DESIRE??

Options
I am due an upgrade and obviously o2 are abysmal and dont wanna keep a good customer, anyway having phoned around 3, vodafone, t mobile, & orange i am now stumped.
All come through with very samey offers orange is more financially viable for me but also tempted by t mobile, but i dont know much about them so i am a bit wary. (t mobile can do i for £25 a month)
The offers are around: 500 mins
5000-uld texts
1-ultd gig of data (net)
and all provide phone for free.
i am gonna be paying the rest £30 a month and orange are after £27.50
The other thing in my head is do i go with phones for u or carphone warehouse instead? and what is the free tele thing about surely a catch in there isnt there?
Any Help would be massively appreciated!

I went with T-Mobile mainly because the rest of my family are with them, and we get free texts/calls between us for a extra £5 a month (step dad pays hehe).
    Free HTC Desire HD
    £25 a month
    600 minutes
    500 texts
Unlimited internet (fair usage of 3GB)

Can swap between unlimited internet, texts, calls and some others every 30 days.

Been with T-Mobile for around 3 years before I went to Tesco (purely because I got a cheap iPhone with my discount), never had a problem with them, step dad, mum and two sisters are with them, never had a problem either.
What is pi? Where did it come from?

If you can get pay as you go then the GiffGaff o2 PAYG is really good value. Works great for my HTC desire.

I would say go for T Mobile as they provide the most generous internet allowance as well as being the best value.

The Desire from Orange is branded to death and on the Android forums users report frequent network issues. They can also charge you if you go over your internet allowance.

The advantage of going through the Carphone Warehouse is that they usually supply unbranded phones. You may only get 1gb internet though rather than 3gb. The free gifts are rarely free on the cheapest contracts so you end up paying for them in reality.

Just took out a HTC Desire contract on three, 600 mins, unlimited texts and 'unlimited' data for £25 on 24 month contract through carphone warehouse. Couldn't find this on the three website though so may be a cpw exclusive x

It depends on the signal really. If there's no difference between them, I'd go for T-mobile. As well as the 3gb data allowance, there's the 2g mast sharing with Orange where you should always be able to get a decent signal.
  • I went with Three (and have been happy with them so far). 900 mins or texts & 1Gb data £20 pm (24 month contract), paid £30 for the Desire.

If cost and max mins, text & data are the most important then 3 will normally do the best deal, but if its the better signal, than since 3 use orange 2G signal and are join parnters with T-Mobile with there 3G network, plus T-Mobile users can now use Orange 2G signal (and soon there 3G signal) T-Mobile is the better.

But it depends on your area....
