Hi Has anybody bought this sewing machine from Aldi yet.
I got mine yesterday, and it looks like the bit with all the spares at the front keeps detaching itself whenever I touch it.
Has anybody got similar problem?
Thank you.

PS: I am just dubious - shall I keep it, or try to exchange it? The latter would not be easy, I suppose...0 -

Didn't notice a problem with mine SoScrooge, unless you're very lucky and your store has one left I would probably keep it and try to get around the problem with a bit of duck tape(assuming the rest of the machine is ok). Doubt you'll get a better one for the same price elsewhere.

I have same problem and mines going back. I'm not happy with iyt like that it should fit back secure and not move unless I want to take that bit off its definitely faulty and if others are having this problem its not just a one off. I bought mine last night. If they cannot open another that I'm completely happy with at the store while I'm there I will ask for a refundThanx

I never had any problems with mine. Are you sure you've got it in right? It does need a bit of pressure and should then click into place.0 -
Anyone who's missed out on this offer, I've noticed Price-Drop TV (and the other one I can never remember!) regularly sell sewing machines - usually Toyota ones. Often go for around £80 - really good for a top end machine. When mine gives up the ghost (it's getting old...) I'll probably buy one off Price-Drop.

I have tried to put some pressure on mine and it still wont stay put. In fact when I took it out of the box there was a gap there it wasnt fastened in the first place. I even packed mine up and unpacked it again to have another go just n case it needed more pressure to click in but it just must be a fault in some of them even though some people have had no problem. Prob best to unpack in the store to make sure its okThanx

Hi Lady_K
I used my machine tonight for the first time. Got it out of the box, set it on the table, and it was perfectly fine
Somehow the problem fixed itself.
I wanted to change it and rung the store, but they totally sold out, so I decided to keep it. For £39.99??? I'd better.
Give it another try if you still got it.
