Problems downloading from Android Market

I have been trying to download some Apps from Android Marketplace and for some reason it wont download them so is anyone esle having the same problem?

I have done the turn phone off and all that but still the same problem.

I know somebody else who is having problems, I'm just trying for the first time today and so far it doesn't seem to be working I've been waiting about 5 minutes to download "Google Sky Map" via my home wireless so I think it might be a market place problem.

Edit: It just timed out, tried updating another app and it doesn't seem to work either.

I've only been trying for the last few days but I've noticed the marketplace is very time dependant. It'll work perfectly in the mornings/lunchtime but downloads nothing in the evenings.

I'd try again tomorrow morning, if it doesn't work then you probably have an actual problem.

Trying to do the Goog Maps update - all went as normal until it said Download paused. Not had this before and likely to be a prob for others too.

I'm on the tmobile network and download all ok this morning. Clicking on more details it says Downloading... but the status bar has not started to show progress yet.

I've been trying via wireless so it's not network related and it's quite a recent problem as I rooted and upgraded my phone over the weekend so I've been downloading apps since then without any problems.

I have had the odd problem downloading from the Market on and off since I got my phone. It's usually because some Google authentication service is down or busy. Might be that.? Usually sorted out within a couple of hours.

Mine just did the same thing with the google maps update.

Earlier there was no problem.

Have had this issue a couple of times but it usually sorts itself out in a while.
Annoying though I know

Seems to be working again now.

I find that around 9PM the Appmarket downloads very slowly if at all . Other times no problem .
Its a bit like internet congestion at peak hours
