Couldn't get a quote from that site either! Anyone have any better luck?0 -
benjimoron,
If you click on locations in England, Scotland etc it will give you a list of places where they have a depot and a telephone number. Ive just tried to call my local but no answer. I guess they don't work on saturdays.
Yes the tnt does sound a good price, I just hope they charge me what I was quoted. It is unwise to pay too much but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, all you lose is a little money... that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot...it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better (John Ruskin - 19 ctry author, art critic & social reformer)0 -
Well I just got my invoice from TNT.
Was quoted £15.35 + vat
Invoice says £66.75 + vat
Ive phoned and told them and am waiting for someone to call me back. But I have a feeling that the next I hear from them will be a reminder that i owe them £78.43

Remember that costs can vary according to destination..... it wont be the first time I have been stung with .... oh my courier says it will be an an exrtra 10 to send to you! Ususally followed by ....I didn't expect to sell to anyone from there... :mad:0

well TNT definatley knew what the destination was. I had two separate conversations with the same guy and both times he came up with the same price, looks like their accounts dept have a different price list.
Does anyone know if they tape their telephoone conversations? Mind you even if they did and don't suppose they will say they have if its not in their favour :mad:It is unwise to pay too much but it's worse to pay too little. Have you commplained/queried,babe ruth? The hike in charges is unreal!!!!
My earlier posting was not in response to the one you entered just before....I must still have been typing, at the same time, but to high light the number of times I have seen....courier ...15 quid , then I get asked for more money coz of where I live! So just mention in your listings that certain parts of the UK may mean higher charges and to ask before listing (assuming you dont know before hand)0
