    You could look at about page 100 for some photo's
    That was taking DIY to the extreme

    Absolutely. I hate nothing more than paying a professional and ending up with a job thats done to a worse standard than I can do myself. And its not that uncommon in my experience. That said its probably very dependent on the level of finish you expect.
