New FairFX Card

We have just recieved our FairFX Euro Card

We are planning to load around £1000 onto it for our holiday in 2 weeks time.
Is there anyway i can test it to make sure it works, like load £10-20 onto it and then buy something. I don't want to load the full amount and then find when we go away that it doesn't work.

Any useful tips appreciated

Their Euro Card is not the best option as there is a cash withdrawal charge. Try the Anywhere card instead.

Already got the card so can't change it now. We already knew about the ATM charge, thats not a problem. It was more about using it in restaurants and shops.

have been using these for nearly a year with no problems and FairFx inform me that the monies are all ring fenced so there is no possibility of losing your money

My partner put the card into a halifax machine today just to check it (we go away on sunday)....it said incorrect pin :eek: he changed the pin when we got it. Is this normal as its a euro card? Please advise me someone,panicking like mad lol

Oh Dear.

All may not be lost - call FairFX. They issue PINs by phone, so you may be able to get a reset PIN quickly.
