  • Ive tried to press the thanks key on everyone in here but it keeps taking me up the top of the page again so THANKYOU to everyone for your advice and help.
  • Oh dear-he sounds like a walking nightmare! The first thing I would chip away at is the prepayment meter. Leave him with British Gas-you have to meet him halfway after all. Pay by direct debit. If he only makes that one change he cant argue he isnt getting the same service. Yes, get them copies of the money diet-maybe getting his sister on side is the answer? Would she be receptive to your ideas? Is there any way you can collect him from the pub now and then-an hour early? Have friends around for a night in-they all bring their own tinnies. Lots of ways-none of them easy-good luck!

    Very true we do.

I'm slowly getting my other half interested in MSE. I just try and show what a difference some things make. e.g shopping without a list costs x but shopping with a list costs y, etc, etc. It does take quite a while but over time I am sure they will become more and more interested.

Keep going you will get there in the end :)
