What are your LLU options? Do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com
Most decent LLU ISP's don't traffic shape-think you are confusing throttling with monthly usage limits?
NB: you don't need an ISP to wire you an extension socket-any electrician or DIYer can do that.

tut tut , just noticed zen are still charging the old price of £75 for install , all the others have reduced theirs in line with the reduction in the fee BT charge

hmm, I like Zen but there are limits (esp to my wallet).
I signed up with SamKnows and ran a test right now on wireless connection on speedtest.net and got the fastest result ever. The line shows on a par with any other non fibre ISP service

Normally in the late afternoon or evenings it's under 2 (1.5meg the other day) and upload of 0.4 and it shows zen to be below average.
Mind you my neighbour is with Sky and says it's the same slow speed in the evening. Ditto the guy downstairs with BT's cheapest package.
Zen claim to have a waiting list. What do the others charge for connection as I may suggest that's what I'm prepared to pay?
