Just a thought to people who haven't received theirs yet, were you already registered with Amazon, or was it first order? I was registered.

A few months back,there was an obvious mis price on Amazon,the "Ulitimate force" boxset starring one of the shiny topped men from Eastenders.
Reduced from 40 quid odd to £1.97.Similar waiting time of 2-3 weeks.
Amazon sent out an e-mail within a day or so saying it woudnt be supplied.
So I think these will come eventualy.

tried changing my delivery option to 1st class and its gone from
25 oct now to the 23 DEC

phoned amazon and they told me it might be worth looking elsewere as amazon are trying to find stock of the dvd's thats why the delivery is so far away

If you read a few posts back you would have seen this would have happened, do not mess around with the delivery guys or you will lose the item

I have just seen on Hot UK Deals, that someone has received this today
They got a 13 box set with 3 films being the special editions.
Maybe they cannot get the 10 box sets so are sending out the current 13 box one...:rolleyes:

Following my email to Amazon regarding the later delivery dates now showing on my order, this is what they say -

"Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.

We looked at your order and found that it contains an item that has
not yet been released. The expected release date for "Cinderella /
Bambi / Mary Poppins / Alice In Wonderland / Dumbo" is October 31,
2006.

The other items in your order are in stock but have not been
dispatched because the delivery preference "Group my items into as
few deliveries as possible minimises delivery cost" has been
selected.

There are two ways for you to request that the items that are in
stock be dispatched to you.

The first method is to change your Delivery Preference to "Dispatch
my items as they become available (at extra postage cost)".

Please be aware that each additional delivery will incur another per-
dispatch charge.

I think you misunderstood their point its was always going to be a 13 disc box set it contains 10 films 3 of which are 2 disc special editions! so it is infact the Same boxset as advertised!

Update to yesterdays posting spoke to Amazon today about this and they have told me that they don't have any stock and that they are awaiting a shipment to come in they are not sure when this will be in and can't confirm yet whether the item will be honoured as they are having trouble with there supplies of this item, I was on the phone speaking to them for over 1/4 of an hour with them asking if I wanted to rent the item instead, cancel and order my item from somewhere else, etc... saying the item wasn't in stock when I place the order which I was saying it was, they have now said I need to wait a weeks more to see if they can source this item and that I will recieve an updated email from them when they are ready to despatch the item, certainly not holding my breath on this one as I would suffocate!
