Hi Group
My current Vodafone contract ended about a month ago, I've been with them for over 10 years. Friday evening I phoned about an upgrade for a HTC Desire HD. They offered me the standard deal they offer new customers, £35 per month, 600 mins, unlimited texts and 500MB internet. I explained that my colleague had got this same deal with them cheaper, £25 per month, and that T mobile were offering a similar deal at this price. The guy told me he couldn't do anything about a deal as Vodafone don't have the phone in stock so they can only offer the standard pre-order tarriffs, he said I should phone back in a few weeks.
Yesterday I received a PAC code from them! So I've just phoned to ask why, the lady was horrified and asked why I was leaving. I explained Friday night and she was shocked, she told me Vodafone wanted to keep loyal customers. Then she asked what sort of deal I wanted on a HTC Desire HD, I said:
300 mins
unlimited txts
500MB Internet
For £25 a month. I explained my collegue has a similar deal, that I'd seen people in this forum report they had this deal. She told me she couldn't match that, I even offered to pay something for the phone! She again said they couldn't do anything whilst the phone was on pre-order.
So how is it that some people have the deal I want whilst I don't seem to? Any advice on how I can get the deal I want? Do Vodafone truly care nothing for customer loyalty? They tell me they do but their actions suggest the opposite!
Yours, frustrated!!

Customer loyalty or rather how hard they will try and retain you is measured on your monthly spend not your length with them. If you spent a lot monthlu by going over your allowance you'll probably get a better deal
£25 a month on a 2 year contract is £600. Given the phone is £500 sim free then unfortunatly it's not worth Vodafone keeping you as a customer.0 -
wait for the sales team to call you couple of days after you get your
" we will call you with your pac code on this number text"
these are the guys with the magic wand
till then you will get a fiver off here and there0
