Orange Upgrade what can i get?

Hello all,

This is my first post on the web site and what a great place to save money!!

i am just about to upgrade my Orange mobile phone contract and i was woundering if anybody has gone through an upgrade in that last month or so?

i am currently on a 600min per month contract and 200 texts (i think) and pay £55 per month i have not had an upgrade in 13 months even though i was intitled to after 9 mths.

as i have just made the step into the scary world of first house money saving is important!

does anyone have any good ammunition i can use to get a good tarif i am looking to spend about £30 for 500 mins and 300 texts if i can i want to try for the free insurance aswell.
do you think this is possible????

I am having arguments with orange at the moment. I upgraded last week and the deal was rubbish - they do not seem to care about existing customers at the moment, even the executive office are not budging. You can get a better deal as a new customer, I would go elsewhere...

I was told by the exec. office that they no longer offer OVP, but a letter I got from them said that they do....

When calling, make sure you speak to retentions as they offer the 'reasonable' deals...

When you call don't choose the upgarde option go for "want to leave Orange" if your interested in the 2550 plan, when they ask you why you want to leave tell them your looking for a plan with more mins and texts.

should bag you 2550 mins ( dolphin direct + 2000 mins xtra )

and how much a month is that (the polphon direct and 2000 mins mins) ? and does it come with texts ?
