I read that Keyloggers can cause untold damage to one's wealth, especially if one's finances are done online, and wanted to know if Malwarebytes and Avira can and will detect it, or if something else will be needed.
Your knowledge and assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking keyloggers are very difficult to pin down. Theres every chance 'all' security software would miss certain types:idea:0

That's a pretty bold statement for them to make considering these aren't the only attack vectors.0 - Protection for your digital identity at all times Improved!

That's a pretty bold statement for them to make considering these aren't the only attack vectors. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

a firewall would help..
and also common sense..
watch what you download and what links you click etc..
unfortunately keyloggers and rats can be encrypted to bypass detection both runtime and scantime so theres always a possibillity.. hence using common sense helps to minimize the risks..0 -

I realised that I would never keep on top of the Windows malware treadmill because of a lack of time etc, so I started to do all my transactions from a Slax distro, then progressed to dual boot with another linux operating system. Apologies to all gamers and techies on here. HTH
