Hi all, hope you are all doing okay. Yesterday was my 2nd NSD of the month. I had some refridgerated leftover homemade soup for tea yesterday evening and took delivery of lots of pulses that i had ordered so i really need to look through some of my cookbooks and see what meals I am going to make out of them...i suspect it might take a few years for me to get through 3kgs each of yellow split peas, red lentils and also split green peas! Still, pulses last for yonks don't they?
Hope you all have a good day today!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I made the homemade cereal bars last night - yummy!
DH likes them so hopefully that will reduce the weekly spend on cereal bars a bit:j Isn't it funny how obsessed you become with little things on the shopping list when you're sticking to a budget!
I had to pick up a few things in Sainsbug's last night to make them and a few essential toiletries and cleaning products so that all added up to £24.75. (I popped in a hat, scarf, glove set for my DS but there was 25% off so not too bad!)Grocery Challenge Nov £288.12/£250

Good Morning everyone! This thread grows so fast! I was up late last night doing some work and decided to do a Tesco online shop to take advantage of the BOG2F's. If I go to the shop I will only impulse buy so I was pleased to get a load of stuff online for £33.80 including delivery - that included the BOG2F Branston Beans (26 tins! but we eat alot of beans and that is the best price I have seen them), BOG2F Cathedral City, BOG2F tomatoes, BOGOF Flora buttery and half price Fairy dishwasher capsules, surf capsules, Birds custard, carted'or and Aunt Bessie's gravy granules (which are super yummy).
I was in Lidl last week and they had jars of Aunt Bessie's cook in sauce - they had red wine, chicken chasseur and shepherds pie. I got the red wine which was 89p per jar and I have to say it was absolutely lovely. I haven't seen it on sale anywhere else and they haven't got it now - has anyone else tried it?
Going to make turkey soup with the turkey from Sunday today, and have curry already made in the fridge for the kid's tea.
Sunnyday - I am so glad that your OH has managed to find something so quickly. Menolly - really hope that something turns up soon.
Hope everyone has a good day.Jane

Am not sure if this a good spend:) or I've been a bit rash :obut I caved to the advertisers power on Big Brands for Less and now have losts of Beans peas and flour arriveing aswell as a few things to cheer up the xmas:rudolf: meal planning. Total £25.57 of which £10.50 was delivery!! not sure I worked that right?
Have double checked against the products I would of bought other wise and I have made a saving but not nearly as much as they claim on the website as I wouldn't have bought brand names.
So Have spent £48.40 on groceries so far this monthbut some of it should last me for a couple of months.....:T
Also found the 'Feed a family for less than £100 a month' or '80p pppd' link and am going to incorporate this into my planning. Have got lots of other stuff to use up too so can't do it completely yet...which should work out cheaper ?Debt at LBM 2010 £40,640.17. Debt Free 2017 Debt 2023 £24k I didn't learn!
