removing apps htc desire

Does anyone know how to remove apps from the desire that you dont use.
For instance stocks was already preloaded but im never gonna use it.
Also does any1 notice the pgone getting very hot when on charge and also the battery life not laqsting too long altho I have been active on it I suppose

You can't remove Stocks without a rooted device. Even then people have reported issues. You can turn off the sync in Menu>Settings>Accounts & sync.
Applications that can be removed are listed in Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications0
