I would not be happy either, ok you got lucky and your child didn't choke on it, but whose to say how many tins of powered milk are out there with sharp bits of plastic in them?? whose to say the next child it happens to won't end up drinking it and choking to death or damaging their throat??
After the whole gender bender chemicals in baby bottles its plain to me that these companies don't give a monkeys about anyone, all they care about is money!!!! I would not let this drop with a few measley £1 off vouchers, and they didn't even replace the tin you sent them !!!!!!?0 -
They said they use sieves down to 1.5mm diameter, yet you found a bit of plastic 1 cm?
Maybe I've missed it, but is this totally wrong?Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I would have wanted assurance that the rest of the milk from that batch had been traced and a warning sent out to protect other babies.I don't know what I would be happy with really which is why I asked for opinions,
Unfortunately, that's not likely to happen.
I agree about contacting Environmental Health.
When I was given the wrong medicine after telling the pharmacist I was breastfeeding, I was sent £50 and a toy for my child, despite the medication not being marked as harmful. In my opinion this is worse.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
what annoys me about this thread is some posters immediately assumed the OP wanted compensation and didnt even realise that this was about a baby milk formula containing sharp pieces of plastic! The OPs baby could have drank that and been hurt - and the company just tried to fob her off! with an insulting offer to boot! as I said - return the vouchers complain vociferiously and STILL report them to trading standards! DISGUSTING COMPANY - name them hun and shame them! if they didnt recall all batches of that milk!0
