What are the chances of a new HTC before Christmas?

Hello,

I was speaking with Tmobile retentions and I enquired into deals for the HTC Desire HD. He said best to wait until next month (Nov) as he has been waiting for a new HTC phone to come out - that they are keeping a tight lid on it and he's been waiting for his upgrade since September.

Has anyone else heard of this and what are the chances that a phone better than the HTC Desire HD will be coming out in the next month or two?

Not heard, but I guess it must be one of the HTC running Android Gingerbread OS.

At a guess this'll be one of the HTC Windows Phone 7 phones, which I believe or coming to T-Mobile in November. It might be the HD7.

Yes, Spoke to someone in Three the other day who said it is quite possible they will be getting a new HTC running Windows Phone 7 at the start of November - possible T-Mobile will follow suit.

The HTC Desire HD is available to upgrade to now. if the phone is out of stock you can be added to the back order system. I am not aware of any phone thats going to be in the same league as the Desire HD which will have a 8 mp camera and running on android 2.2. The latestest windows phone we are awaiting the stock of is the Samsung Omnia 7 running on windows 7. And there is a new blackberry on the way Blackberry 9780 Bold II basically. Also i wouldnt describe it as a phone but the Samsung Galaxy Tab is coming soon with a 7" touch screen running android 2.2 launching perhaps to compete with the I-Pad.

Thank you for clearing that up. I am not due for my official upgrade until end of Nov but was offered an early upgrade last week. From what I understand I would get the best deal if I waited - but I really would love to get my mits on the Desire HD!

Just rang retentions to see how much it would cost to terminate the contract early (Contract ends end of Dec) as interested in the vofafone deal on e2save and would probably order if they have the desire hd in stock.
I was told on the call that if I terminated early I would lose my number and that I must call end of Nov in order to get this and put on a 30 day pending cancellation.
I thought that we could get the pac code at any time, but I could be wrong. I just feel like the tmobile retentions dept will say anything true or not to make sure that I don't cancel until my contract ends which does not instil confidence in me as I was always under the impression that their CS was quite good. A little confused and disappointed, but at least I will have the chance to try a different provider soon!

There's also talk of a 'Google Nexus two' handset, possibly made by Samsung or HTC - this would be released with Gingerbread installed

The only way you could make a phone better than the HTC Desire HD would be to extend the battery life and maybe add a front facing camera - it's a superb phone

I Picked up a Desire HD in Tuesday!
not put it down since!

Battery life is not great (Only because I'm constantly using it and not got around to fully charging it!) lol!!!

But it's a great phone, The HD Recording is very good for a mobile!

Android Gingerbread (2.3) is thought to be out just after Christmas or early in the new year.
