    Hi Katsu,

I did try to do this once although it seemed to get complicated I think partly because I have a credit card so money is always paid in delayed time I'm sure it's a good method but it confused my DH too much!

I always thought we spent less than we earn but think careful spreadsheet calculations is teaching me that we spend more than I had hoped we did!

Funny I used to always document like this before owned home and then after that it didn't seem worth it however now I can see worth it now more than ever before!!!

Trying to have a disciplined day of productive work.

Have done some work already today, managed to make some soup and peanut butter, watching some i-player tv before back to some more work this avo.

So much snow have put bread out for birds not sure they'll be looking though!

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hi all

We are really freezing here but no new snow and transport all fine. East and North seem absolutely at a standstill tho! Meant to be catching up with sister but she's snowed in for 4 th day..and will we be able to get to my parents this weekend? I wonder..!

Anyway its making it easier not to spend money unless its on heating!!! We should celebrate that I guess:T

    Hope everyone is surviving...

Finally got paid £60 for some research I did, quite easy to do and through work link but don't think going to happen again sadly.
That money has gone straight into OP pot.
DH might get some extra cash tutoring through work again that will go straight into OP pot although he doesn't know it yet!
He tends to spend any money from anything he has e-bayed so he has a bit of money space!
Off work today doing uni work and then off for laser eye assessment wish me luck not sure about having pupils dilated!
Flylady this week properly which is useful as it gets me organised and takes away some of my endless procrastination.

  • I always write procrastinate on my to do lists, that way if I don't do anything I still can tick something off.

Hiya, I just looked through your diary, you are doing really well!
I work backwards with my MF dates, I have worked out I can be MF by Dec 2019, so now when I make extra OP's I just knock the months of that, I'd be happy to have it paid off by then and if its sooner, well thats great as well.
Just make sure you enjoy the time you have as a couple before the kids come along...god I sound so old hey!
Keep up the posting and good luck with your journey

    Thanks L.
Really like the idea of working backwards that makes a lot of sense. I'll see if I can track down your diary too.
Thanks for the encouragement it all helps :j

Today found gas and elec bill will be reduced next month I'd celebrate but they keep moving the amount around so much I haven't got a clue what they're up to! Only £50 a month though in Jan so not too bad at all depending how long they keep that up for!
