It's not a lappy, it's a Cybercom Medion PC running XP Home with 1.3Ghx processor. (yep, it's so old it's not Chinese!)
Well, I ran that XP recovery disc and it whirred but didn't open; is that normal? Spent about 15 minutes looking through it but still can't find any recovery console. I started to run something by mistake - I think those last 2 icons (WIN511C) appeared. Shall I delete them?
