Check to see if you have "personal possessions" or "away from home" cover on your home contents insurance. If you have then you are covered for theft and accidental damage and don't need separate phone insurance. If you haven't got it on your contents insurance then ask about getting it added. You can probably cover all of your personal possessions for less per month than you would be paying just for iPhone insurance on its own.If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

If you are on PAYG:I agree with Exhortation, check your contents insurance for away from home cover. If you don't have it, you could try and add this to your insurance, also you should be able to add specific expensive electrical devices to your contents insurance too.If you are on contract:Same applies but check which would cost you less.If you are with O2 it is £7.50 a month for iPhone insurance. - this was when I had an iPhone 3G with O2, it could be different now - It became useful towards the end of my 18 month contract because the home button on my phone broke, I paid £25 excess and got a brand new iPhone the day after right near the end of my contract, which I then sold for £170 in June/July to get my iPhone 4 contract with Vodafone, which was a mistake as Vodafone are useless, but that's a different matter.0

hi all ive just bought a iPhone 4, and i was wondering are there any good deals around to cover for theft or damage
thnks
So perhaps the prices are different for the Iphone 4 but o2 wanted a 120 a year for cover on my Iphone3 which I refused
6 months later I dropped the phone down the toilet
Took it to Apple and they asked 140 and I got a new phone
So yes I paid more then the insurance but lets face it, whats the chances of it happening
Household insurance will usually cover for loss or theft, the phone is under warranty so its a lot to pay for accidental cover0 -

I got my insurance through FoneGuard (they were the best offering on MSE at the time), I can't vouch how they are as I didn't need to claim. I'm up for renewal in February and I'm not sure if I'll bother with insurance as I've never had a phone lost or stolen and the only phone I ever damaged was uninsured and buying a replacement wasn't a big deal.0
