    I have owned two renaults . First was a megane scenic 1997 diesel , second was a megane scenic 1999 petrol.

    In both cars never a minutes trouble !

    A neighbour though has the newer scenic (04 i think) and has problem after problem with it !

    I have heard other people give the opinion that the older models were more reliable.

    I guess it is like most cars, sometimes you get one that is never a problem, may get another that is nothing but trouble.
