IS it possible at all to edit a PDF file? How?

yes, but not with the reader which is free, although there are some pdf document writers that are freeware do a search on google. I think there is also an interface for microsoft word to edit pdf documents (look on microsofts site for it) but its the writer your looking for so, try pdf writers.

Just come across this thread on another forum which may help. It suggests Foxit Reader for pdf form filling with tips on how to get rid of the evaluation watermark.
