Renaults ARE good cars - if you buy new and sell them once the warranty is up. Time and time again on the forum we see the same problem of people with French sheds with faulty cars.
the used price of a laguna or megane can just be too tempting for some folk.
unfortunatly they usually end up spending the money they saved from the initial purchase on high spare parts if they're not careful.
op, could the radiator not have been repaired? there are plenty of radiator repair places around that could strip your exsisting radiator and replace or repair any components on it....work permit granted!0 -
Most radiator specialists will fit a new core for under £100, 48hour turnaround if not faster.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

That'll be right.
They all drive Japanese cars, and don't bother with the staff discounts, free servicing, and all the other perks they'll get, because Toyota is so much better.

Not sure quite what is so funny about that, I would as well.
No staff discount etc.can justify the grief they have to deal with every day.0 -

Pretty standard in all car with aircon nowadays. On the plus side your air con should work better.
Dad hit a small jack Russell sized dog a few years ago in his 2month old brand new Renault scenic broke the radiator mounts. which are now intergeral to the rad £1000+ was the repair cost luckily the insurance picked up the tab.0 -
I used to be sceptical about renaults untill my daughter bought one an old H reg clio, then another new 172, now she has a family and a megane. Her bloke also had a 172. My other daughter has twins, she bought a scenic. My wife has had 2 clios and at present a megane. I bought a megane estate 4 years ago.
Do you lot honestly thing as a moneysaver I would put up with the !!!!! you speak of if it were true?????:money:
We haven't had a single expensive issue with any of those 9 cars, just maybe it's because 1 looked after them all and even the cars that were under manf waranty didn't see the dealers, who in my area I have to agree are crap.
I will admit I bought an early mk1 megane, 8 months old, top of range model I recall. Big mistake, built of tissue paper and I realised that for a longterm car it might be a mistake, kept it for 2 weeks, the time it took me to resell. Not the cars fault, wrong choice at the time by me.;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
