I am not familiar with Laptops so maybe another Desktop would be ok the reason i wanted a laptop was for the wife we do battle to be the first to get on the PC so i thought a laptop would be ideal for her not for me as i have large fingers and the keyboard on the laptop and that little tiny patch on the front that it uses as a mouse is to small. what about this idea a desktop but can 2 desktops be made to work like my sons Laptop he comes to visit sits on the settee switches on and he is on the internet useing my ISP, I have seen this desktop for sale on eBay its not a make i dont think :embarasse so do you think this is ok but i dont want it to be an older just going out of date PC.

Seriously, don't be put of by the stories of broken hinges etc. It has never happened to me.
Toshiba Satellite C650-1CR at £304 will be more than adequate if it is within your budget.
Specs
If on a tight budget, you could get a Netbook for as little as half that price, but they are small and fiddly.0
