Why?!? It's perfectly acceptable to drink!
It doesn't magically go 'off' at midnight the day it says it does. Its sealed... it was fine to drink...
Best Before: Consumption after this date may mean a loss of quality of the product. It is legal to sell a product with any Best Before date, even 10 years in the past! Tinned/Bottled stuff certainly lasts a lot longer than the BB date. Note that it is different to Use By which indicates the product is not safe to eat after that date (and it is illegal to sell a product with a use by date after that date).
While the company did not need to specify it was 'out of date', it's usually common courtesy to do so, in fact a local offie here sells out of date beer/cider all the time on the cheapLovely cheap stuff

OP, I'd suggest drinking the beer, but if you start to feel a bit dizzy or light headed, it's clearly off and should be given to me to dispose of safely. Any further consumption could give you a bit of a headache in the morning.0
