Would also agree with Chad Valley and the ToysRus copy ones, which I can't remember the name of right now. What you may find is due to small parts you may be limited on what is recommended for her age. ELC have some nice ones but usually a bit expensive.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Please does anyone have the Orchard Humpty Dumpty game who can tell me the rules? I liberated a set from a charity shop - in vg condition but no rules!
  • Im another voter who wishes cariboo made replacement cards ..... how annoying !!! my kids loved that game !!

balamory build a character ..my daughters favourite !!!

orchard toys are fab !! shopping list, greedy gorilla and big bad wolf are 3 that we have.

we also have an elc game that teaches the days of the week.

my first monopoly was fun, and connect 4 ! (I've just sold my first monopoly on ebay)

they are into bingo at the moment, but are now 8 & 6 !!

mindware is a good catalogue to have to hand for when they get a bit older.

Not a board game but my 3 year old is getting hungry hippos for christmas. He likes to play dominoes with grandad.

He's getting the 'we're going on a bear hunt' game for christmas too - £7.99 from book people (check the vouchers board for a delivery code), with a hardback book and a little DVD of the story. http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10051_98663_100_500020__category_

Somebody said she thought it was too babyish, but the book is fab and they still read it to children in reception class. Her 3 year old is older and cleverer than mine anyhow, so what suits hers would be too hard for mine.

There are various versions of buckaroo. We have a bob the builder barrow game, eldest had ali baba's camel. same sort of thing.

He still loves playing the ELC games 'manic martians' and the fishing for bugs game.

The game of the moment is a scarecrow game we got in a cheap shop. It's like pop-up pirates I suppose, you take out corn, and one of them triggers the scarecrow.

But as I said, he's a boy and a young 3, and he likes games to 'do' things. He hates ludo and snakes and ladders, gets frustrated. We tried operation but it was too hard for him, he likes to play around with it but doesn't play the game properly.
