Hi guys, had a great day today.

Managed to get 2 Roald Dahl books & Gripshift on the psp ( thanks for the people who posted these).

    I found a new one today managed to get a Philips HDD1620 6GB MP3 Player :D
White sel £149.97 but it went through at something like £167.79.

They said they'd refund the difference :rotfl: but i said no i believe your policy is to refund it all & give me the product. CS girl was fab but the manager on the phone wasn't lol.

    Many thanks Daisy!! :D:D:D
Bagged one of the Philips MP3 players this morning, however my SEL was different:

white label was £149.99 now £129.99 no expiry date.
Scanned at £167 Was offered the difference but then got full R&R:T :T

I have added this as there seems to be more than one SEL out there for this product.

Wow,first time I`ve read this post and I cant believe how much people have been refunded.

    WELL DONE GUYS!!!!

Can I just ask a quick question? What do you do when you get to customer service? Do you just show them the reciept and tell them that the SEL is a lower price? And they refund and replace it no problems?

Also another question, the refund bit I get but the replace bit I dont.Say I bought a DVD,sel was £6.99 but it scanned and I payed £7.99 for it.Do I keep the one I orignally bought and get the same DVD again?

    Hey all,

I dont know if this has been posted ...sorry if it has

Bought Mr Muscle spray(the yellow one), it says 50% extra free, so its HUGE... priced at 1.14 on the SEL, but charged 1.13 at the till....

a 1p saving...little i know but thought i'd let everyone know...also i've found Tesco's to be the cheapest for Mr Muscle. So i bought 3 bottles, should see me through for a few months.

And if you have the Mr Muscle print off coupons(i think 30p off) and if you're lucky enough for them to work then thats an even better saving. (see the D&V board)

In theory yes!. They normally go and check the sel ( and remove it ), and they quite often say they will give you the difference, so you have to point out the policy to them. They usually then just give you the refund and let you keep the product. If its higher value items, sometimes managers get called etc, but you just have to stand your ground really.

Also another question, the refund bit I get but the replace bit I dont.Say I bought a DVD,sel was £6.99 but it scanned and I payed £7.99 for it.Do I keep the one I orignally bought and get the same DVD again?

You keep the one you have paid for but you get a refund - so in your eg you would get £7.99 back and keep the dvd.

  • A possible XBOX 360 game for you console grabbers - Perfect Zero has been£25 for the last few weeks - saw a SEL today for £22.97 - but the darn thing wouldn't scan at the Price Checker.

Might be worth a punt for you XBOX Dudes - do report back if you get any joy.
