Not possible I'm afraid. You are trying to put a 3rd generation sim into a 2nd generation phone.0

the only chance you have is if it is a 3g phone, i know orange do a few but thats itthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

hi lolly, sorry to hear about your predicament. well, it all depends on the kind of phone you want as a replacement...obviously the older (and clunkier) models would be pretty cheap, especially if you're talking about the Motorola C975 or older LG U8XXXs....
as for the sleeker, hi-end phones, Phones4U sells the Nokia N70 for £140 (this is locked to Orange, so you'd have to pay Orange to unlock first b4 popping your three sim in...i don't know the cost i'm afraid) or the BenQ-Siemens Ef81 for £140 also or you can buy the new O2 Ice - £99.99 includes the phone, £20 credit and a bluetooth headset. The Link offers the SE V600i (Vodafone Branded K600i) for about £70ish too.
Alternatively, try searching on Ebay or Gumtree.co.uk for steals/deals on 3G phones. hope this helps, and all the best0 -

3 started gluing the sims into their payg handsets (new and refurb moto c975's)more here
the nokia n70 is a bb5 handset so it can only be unlocked by orange at the moment0 -

Yes it is possible in most hand sets BUT three will start to send you Txt messages telling you to use a 3g handset or they will block your sim.
It costs them more if you are in the 02 networkFiliss0 -
Some Link stores had pay as you go Sony Ericsson K608i for about £50/60 including £30 credit on Threepay.
You could get one and use ur contract sim and sell the pay as you go sim on Ebay?

i have heard of people putting 3 sim cards in non 3g phones, it DOES work, but not for long.
three for one will threaten you to use the original 3g phone or they will cancel the sim for you (normally within 30days...)
so think carefully...
