A very odd thing has happened, not that l am moaning of course.

I recently done a sim only upgrade by phone, l recall the guy telling me the cost would be £10 per month which is £5 cheaper than my previous £15 Texter per month. It is a 12 month contract. Well l received my bill today and it has the following details.

So as you can see, l am not moaning. It will cost them more to collect the payment via direct debit. I also wonder how long it will be until they pay me for using the phone

Sorry to wreck your joy...but it looks like your usual charge will be £6 a month.

I'd imagine lines 3 & 4 are refunds as you pre-pay your line rental, so you've had a pro0rata refund. Lose the itemised billing and save another quid tho.

To be honest l will still be happy if it was £6 per month. I knew l would have to wait until the next bill to see whats what etc. I was looking at cutting the monthly cost.

Well l must go back to digging down the back of the sofa to try and find enough pennys to cover the above bill

Three give some good deals - I got a Nokia 5230 phone (which I flogged for the cost of line rental for a year) on a 12 month contract, with:

300 x-net mins, 150 texts, 25 video mins, 25 picture messages, £5 download credit and 2Gb of internet for £5 a month.

I've been with them years and the only downside is the handoff from a 3G to a 2G connection. This should improve when mast sharing with Orange comes into effect later in the year.
