mobiles.co.uk- Has anyone had problems just buy into a contract?

Options
Hi,
I have read that many have had problems with getting cashback etc from mobiles.co.uk. I have seen a contract on the website that is a basic 24 month contract - no free gifts, no cashback etc. The package suits my needs. I am unsure if I should trust them or not? Most complaints I have read about are about claiming cashback. If I take the contract - and it is with T-mobile, what dealing will I have to have with mobiles.co.uk again? And has anyone had very few problems with this?

  • Provided they supply the deal as described you may just have to cancel any free insurance and gadget helpline complusions - that's pretty straightforward. However, as you have no doubt read, communication and customer care aren't their - er - priorities so you could still encounter hassle should anything go wrong. With these (real) provisos you should be fine - but that isn't a recommendation given their track record and general attitude to customers.

Thanks for your reply! I think I am going to hold off a bit. My contract with Virgin ends in a couple of weeks but think I will keep looking into different deals. I like to have a 'person' to deal with so ordering a phone and contract off the internet makes me nervous. So have to think long and hard first! Thanks again!
  • The annoying thing is, is that I have had no problems with Virgin at all, for 6 years now. But they do not offer the up to date phones, and if I am going to be tied into something for 24 months, I want to feel I will be happy with it for that long - or most of it anyway! But, sadly Virgin are not moving quickly, as regards to the mobiles they offer!
