WELL LSD today walked 5 miles (knackered.com) handed in papers my solicitors needed me to sign so a english lawyer can represent me (I stay in Scotland but the A**ehole has launched proceedings in England even tho he no longer lives there!!!!!, he stays in scotland now too and we were married in scotland and born in scotland....anyway) so thats that done, collected a parcel from the sorting office and walked to tescos and got tomatos, lettece, my paper and i got a Bart Simpson Top for my DS's birthday (not til August lol I know but it was only £3 reduced from £7)
The popped into Lidls for my bread and cold meat (i refused to pay nearly £2 for 4 slices of meat in tesco or asda) picked up some honey roast chicken, 14 slices for £1.69 and it's absolutely delicious lol
Topped the electricity up by £5 so that'll last me til payday on thursday. I have £80 in the bank and £7 in my purse so I'll be making the £7 stretch til Thursday, all I need in is milk so can get that tomorrow or Wednesday lol

:mad::mad: Why do they still have to make things as difficult as they possibly can when its clear that the marriage is over?
Now, that is forward planning but has saved you money and if you see anything else in the future then you can add to it and DS will have loads of pressies at a small cost.:j
I used to dread it at Christmas as I used to set a budget and stick to it, but once all the pressies were together with the rest of the family gifts it always looked like they got a decent amount :T

I complained this weekend as I had to go to Mr A's but usually use Lidls for my cold meats etc as they are really de-lish and they don't add water....there chicken and also peppered salami and garlic sausage too is really nice....

You have achieved so much today alone and just think one step nearer to getting rid of your ex now that has got to be worth it :T

Yeah I know but now he's playing the afgan card (he's a soldier and he's being deployed in april) in order to get sympathy.......sorry mate you've been in for over 10 years now this is your 7th tour, you put your job before me and the kids so tough, no sympathy from me whatsoever the quicker the divorce is done the better. Sounds harsh but i've had enough of his mind games and he can't stand that I don't fall for them anymore x x x
As for xmas I always start the day after DS's birthday (20th aug) as thats when the shops start having there sales and start clearing out there stock so they can bring the xmas stock in lol done this for 2 years now and it's amazing some of the bargains I've got. I make sure I have a list of everything I've got including how much it was and how much it was reduced to and the savings always put a smile on my face lolNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.051 -
hi there. thought I'd pass by.. thats a good idea about the sale thing - I did a few things like that but I lost track and I suppose the writing it down would make sense cos I couldn't begin to tell you what I bought and what gets played with...I know they will end up playing with it but I could of done myself a favour and bought like one thing and they wouldn't have known any different with everyone elses gifts.. I think thats what I will do this year even though I am saving with park vouchers. Hope the divorce stuff don't get you down too much. xx0

Good idea to start early and not have all the stresses of last minute panic buying....keeping a note does help though and adding in if someone mentions that they like something helps too...hate shopping as it is so anything that makes it less stressful is a bonusTotal debt £[STRIKE]37864.78 [/STRIKECOLOR=purple][STRIKE] £31681.03[/STRIKE] -£16700

Hi there Abba, Your ex must be going to Afghan as my hubby is leaving...! Well don't worry about him anyway you won't hear much from him whilst he is out there i doubt. I have started christmas shopping already...this is SUPER organised for me lol, i usually start in september! There are lots of sales on though and i thought i would be organised just for once
I have started a spreadsheet with everyone's name on it, what i bought them (so each present in my pressie box is allocated) and how much it cost me, then another colomn saying how much it was pre-sale and how much i saved % wise. I have saved loads so far and am only getting pressies i see in the sales if i haven't got someone's done by say november then i will pay full price in that months budget...but am hoping with all the sales ahead of us lol i will be all wrapped up (excuse the pun) by then
xx

Hi LMCD and Burntfingers
well today was low spend day....bought my trashy magazines and bought pancakes, got the last packet in the shop muhahahahahahahaha :rotfl:
got £2.60 left to last me til thursday which is doable lol don't want to touch the money in my back account lol so 80p is earmarked for DD's drama club tonight lol
DS is playing on the wii fit very painful to watch lol he's only 4 but he's trying hehehe
LMCD The divorce doesn't bother me tbh I chose to end it after 10 years couldn't take it anymore, what bothers me is how he's getting back to me, wants to be my best friend yet tells his lawyers horrid horrid lies an couldn't even spell our sons name correctly!!!!
anyway onwards and upwards, have another date with the guy I saw a few weeks ago.......shifts have been clashing and the weekends I have off (1 off 1 on) I spend time doing things with the kids to get a balance which is brilliant just leaves me with no time to have a social life lol :rotfl:NEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
