Right should have done this yesterday so this is how my debt is sitting from 29th February
Argos card £224
Couch £1033.50 (next payment takes me under £1k mark) :T
Halifax card £3983.39
Total £5240.89
I've reduced our debt by £821.59 in February :T this includes eBay returns so I'm chuffed with that unfortunately I didn't hit my saving target of getting mortgage account to £6000
only managed to save £210 into the mortgage account
but it's still a saving and would have been more if college had paid me correctly but hey ho xx
So my targets for March is to clear the Argos card :A and get my debts under £5k as well as halving hubby's credit card which I don't include in my total as that's his :rotfl: so here's hoping we can do this xx
My mindee hasn't turned up so we aren't going to toddlers as my eldest son is off with a viral
so we are having a day in but need to nip to the local shops later for juice for me and black bin liners and that's it so a LSD we shall have xx NEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -

Hi Abba, just had a quick look at my emails! It took about 4 weeks from offer being accepted on the house to mortgage offer being formalised. Hopefully yours will be quicker! We had loads of daft things to sort out and the mortgage broker had to keep asking for new bits of paperwork. First we couldn't sell our old house so had to get consent to let to rent it out, I'd just gone part to full time, my parents gave us money for the deposit (they lent it us really - that's what I'm paying back - sshhh don't tell
) and had to write a letter to say it was a gift.
Then it was about another 8 weeks for everything else before the house was ours. Hope that's helpful and hope yours is much easier![STRIKE]bank of mum and dad £15000/0 0%[/STRIKE] / [STRIKE] My Credit Card £1180/£0.00 16.22%[/STRIKE] / Daughter's phone loan [STRIKE]£792[/STRIKE] / £352 0%

Thanks for that it's nice to get someone's view who has been through it xx
I'm not fussed about how quick we get the keys I just want it in black and white that we have the mortgage
then I can relax as I'm not sleeping I am absolutely shattered tbh
If we are approved and we get the keys I need to inform the care inspectorate (they inspected childminders and nurseries etc) and they could take up to 12 weeks to inspect the new property  and then we need to give the housing association 28 days notice so that's a potential four months paying a mortgage and rent potentially xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -
Good luck with the mortgage. You deserve to get you have scrimped so hard.
First few months are tough but worth it to have your own nest.
I love fluffy carpets all my bedrooms now have shag pile ones. Not sure if they would clean up with little ones. Got one big shaggy rug in my lounge, which surprisingly still looks as new after 6 years.
