The final hurdle?

Just one question

Been to see the Citizens Advice Bureau twice now and very close to taking an IVA possibly through payplan.

CAb have asked us to fill out a budget sheet ready so when we are allocated to one of their case workers they have all the info they need.

What worries me is should we fill in our exact incomings and outgoings so the case worker can look at this and then work out our budget sheet for the IVA or should we be filling out the budget sheet as if this was our IVA sheet?

IVA budget sheet = if i only use £200 a month shopping but the Money Advice trusts booklet says the minumum i can have is (for arguments sake) £300, should i be putting £300

I hope this makes sense

    Hi,
I would put down the top amounts you are allowed for everything, your case worker will advise what is allowable and what is not, there was a post on here somewhere with a IVA Budget Guide from payplan.

Found it its this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2778282

  • When I filled my I&E sheet out I used the actuals, and then found there were a number of items, that I could not include, those items that are considered pure luxuries are not are tolerated by creditors.

Find out everything that is allowable and were you can put down the maximum, this then will give you a little bit of comfort room.

Put down what you actually spend, that way you should have enough to live on. EG if you actually spent £400pm on food for a family, why should you put down a lesser amount just bcause it is what you think is the maximum
