IVA Budget Guide

Hello,

I am in a IVA with Payplan and use their online facility to check details occasionally etc.

Recently found they had put a budget guide on the site so downloaded it.

If any one wants a copy please let me know.

Thanks

    Berri,

I would suggest that your first step is to post a SOA under a new thread and see what people think. Each case is different and advice will vary.

Read other posts and contact someone like the CCCS or Payplan who give free advice. If you do decide to go down the IVA route then there are lots of companies out there but use one that do not charge upfront fees
  • Could I have a copy please?!?!?

The creditors work closely with these debt charities to regulate (and squeeze) the budgets available in IVAs.

I have noticed a distinct difference between the two sets of guidelines but then I've also noticed that neither of the two tend to stick to their own guidelines either!

The CCCS guidelines have recently been updated for 2010 - long overdue since the previous update was close to two years ago and we'd be looking for a 2011 update soon ESPECIALLY since VAT will be changing in just over two weeks time!

The Payplan guidelines are a tad threadbare since the only give vague variable guideline figures on 16 items out of a list 45... the rest are variable, must be justified or are not allowed! Particularly unhelpful!

i will have to chech this out with payplan as they allowed what i said over phone, i based them on what the cccs budget planner allowed.
we are a family of 8 so they allow up to £816, i told payplan £800 for the month.

due to being having no surplus at present due to heavy debt we have been living off £60 a week and that to be honest for us lot is a killer/very tight!

If they are not going to do the same as cccs i will look to go to them instead for an iva.

But.....................like i say they were fine with the EP we gave them, i will ring them tomorrow and find out if they are going to change them.

Did you use all the cccs guidelines? Payplan simply flatout dont allow smoking or a social life, CCCS do.

What was the kind of surplus you had?

I'm not encouraging one company over the other, I would just be interested to see if Payplan stick to their guidelines or if they'll accept that people dont simply give up smoking.
