    I used washing up liquid and a lot of patience.

    It wasn't their fault is was a good idea and suited the time.

  • Make the kids do their own doors. When I was a kid I remember being given an old rag and some turps to get rid of mine.
  • WD40 is great for all sticky things;)
  • WD40 and a paint scraper :D Infact, anything oil-based will soften the adhesive, which is why mayonnaise and baby oil work, too.

    I'll add this to the existing thread on removing stickers from wood for more ideas.

    Ditto that. It was rubbed into the stickers, left for half hour and then scrapped off. They came off without scratching the wood. I think it is to do with the high fat content reacting with the glue etc. So just use some cheap mayo and fingers crossed that will work.
