Quick way to get stickers off wood?

Guess the title sums it up. My DD has stuck cbeebies stickers all over a wooden rocking horse (Blooming grandparents keep wasting their money on these comics - I'd rather they bought them a book a month rather than 2 magazines a week!! - sorry off topic rant  ).
I have managed to get rid of DD2 highchair via freecycle and was going to offer the lady some toys that my 2 have outgrown, this horse being one of them.
Thanks in advance.

bit of nail polish remover on some cotton wool perhaps?
or maybe some hot soapy water with a squirt of stardrops in it, then use a microfibre cloth to "rub" them off0 -
wd40, spray on and rub take all glue/sticky marks off everything. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

i would say try hot soapy water at first. i think this is going to be a slow process type of job but worth it in the end. my darling daughter has stuck stickers on her window i saw this morning.0

I SECOND THE WD-40. HAVE JUST REMOVED ABOUT A MILLION STICKERS FORM A PINE BED IN MINUTES, NAIL POLISH REMVER LEFT BITS OF STICKER BEHIND AS THAT WAS MY FIRST TRY.

Yep, it's pretty damn good, got all the stickers of a door in a rented house in double quick time. I think I saw it on Kim and Aggie (not certain) but it really works. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

Why get rid of the horse- cant you keep it for your grandchildren?0

Thanks for that - I was just wondering what the best solution was to get stickers off of something I'd been given - WD it is!0

Not OS - but Lakeland sell something called Sticky Stuff Remover which works well.0

The wooden horse is only a small sit on one (not the expensive type). In fact I paid 50p for it from a charity shop and it has provided much fun for DD1 and DD2. Whilst I would love to keep lots of things its just not practical. We have the crib they had (my DH and his Sister both used it as babies) and memory boxes (first shoes, hospital name tags, first grow-suit, cards etc).
Will dig the WD out - thankfully I saw it yesterday when I tidied the shed up.0 -
I'm having a bit of a spruce up in the house and the kids doors are absolutely plastered in old stickers! has anyone got any OS cleaning tips for removing them easily?
