REcommend me a phone for my 15yr old son for Xmas

My nearly 15yr old has had a pretty basic erricson for a couple of years. I'm struggling with Xmas pressies and I know he'd love a new phone. we're all on O2 for the family bolt on. I don't really want him to have net access if we can avoid it.

Needs to have the basic phone stuff, half decent camera and a good MP3 facility and radio would be ideal

Budget sub £100 and if well under that I'll be happier!!

Would rather it was not the most up to date and "muggable" model, but I guess at the budget I've set that isn't too likely:rotfl:

Both my DD2 have the one touch mini and that is fab, but he'd never live down having the same as his sisters;). If it wasn't exactly the same as they have he'd not be unhappy with this though!

  • Tale a look at the Nokia C5 - It's pretty ordinary looking (non-muggable), it has a good mp3 player, ok camera, GPS with free maps (nokia maps are great and don't use your internet as they are pre-loaded on the phone)

It doesn't look very cool, but it'll last for ages

    It's 100 quid on O2's website
  • If you want a contract, quidco are offering £140 cash back on Orange atm. Haven't looked at the phones on offer for it but you could always give him the phone and use the sim yourself (phone might be locked to Orabge but you might get it unlocked fairly cheaply????)

If you're after a smartphone then the Orange San Francisco would be a good bet. It's very high spec for the low price and can be unlocked to work with any network.

THanks but definitel;y no contract- not that I don't trust him at all, but there are enough tales of woe from "adults" on here that come to grief with huge bills!
