sony ericsson spiro

I'm on the look out for a new phone. I recently got a great sim only deal on T-Mobile for £7.50 a month. I had a Sony Ericsson C902 on O2 and got it unlocked but have since dropped it in water and it's died a death!!
I've spotted a Sony Ericsson Spiro on Kays for £59 - which with their Buy Now Pay Later offer lets me pay up for it over the course of the next few months.
Does anyone own one of these and if so how do you find it to use, esp for internet? The C902 gave good internet displays. I've tried using the wife's new LG Viewty touch screen phone and I'm afraid touchscreens are not for me!! Took me about 10 minutes to put a text message together!! Give me the good old keypad any day!!!
Also if anyone can recommend a half decent smartphone that'd be great!! I'm not interested in apps or any of that .... just phone, text and internet!

Functionality wise the Spiro is MUCH worse than the C902. It uses a much more basic operating system without multi tasking (the C902 can multi task), the camera is much worse and has no camera flash (so you can't use it like a torch.)
I would personally recommend a W705 / W715 which has wi-fi so you can go on the internet free wherever there's a wifi connection. You can get it for around £30 more than a Spiro, but you get a bigger screen, camera flash (that can be used as a torch too), much better operating system and the W715 also has a GPS receiver for satnav or google maps.Moneysaver and proud0
