Argos have the wildfire listed from both Vodaphone at £129 and Three at £179. The Vodphone is not and has not been available for a while, neither is it availabla at Vodaphone at £140.

If it was purchased from Argos at the Three price would it be possible to unlock it to ooperate PAYG Vodaphone/Asda.

Or is there a better High Sreet offer.

I've just got one on contract for £11 per month from e2save or they have the desire model too. If you want a contract these are also offering cashback through topcashback. They also sell pay as you go (they are underwritten by carphonewarehouse) might be worth a look on there!

I got mine from Voda for £126 with a code.It was originally £140.
I think I would just wait till voda had stock again as unlocks are 15-20 quid.
Play do them for £150 but no stock for a week or two.

Also look on eBay as both Argos and Voda sell them brand new on there from their outlet shops.

  • very tempted, though I'm yet to find an Argos in London with stock.

However it terms of unlocking, will the phone not have a lot of Branding on it? So if I stick in the SIM card of another network, I won't be able to use certain features?

Branding is an add on that networks put into the firmware . It could be just wallpaper and a few network home pages on the internet browser or more involved .

If you have unlocked phone then the branding and apps stay on the phone and most of them would be usable with a different sim . Some that are locked to the network wont work on a different network but they tend to be few .
