If you are on IB you will be moved over to ESA which is Employment support allowance.
Which is exactly the same thing as Ib but you get more support to get well and get back to work if possible.
Where do yu get the idea it will be means tested from?
You need to ring up the DWP and get it explained to yu properly, I guess you are listening to well meaning friends who dont know what they are talking about either.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Those on CB ESA in WRAG will be transferred to IB ESA (if they are eligible) after six months. I am not aware whether those who have been transferred from IB will receive transitional protection or not?Gone ... or have I?0 -

I know what you mean, come next year you will be transferred to esa and benefit will last for 12 months as you know. ( Unless you are one of the chosen few who will be placed on the support group.)
Then you will be assessed on your income as to whether you can still receive any benefit, you can bet your life that anyone with a working partner won't get any benefit. This will lead to real financial hardship for many people.0 -
yes that was what i meant,i didnt explain myself properly,im begining to wonder why ive paid 40 years of n i0

We're all in the same boat missus, we all pay them and take our chances.
I'd rather pay them for 40 years and then still be healthy enough for work rather than be ill
and have to claim IB, wouldnt youmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
