    yep, makes sense
  • How can HSBC do this Guaranteed FTSE Tracker - Which guarantees 100% back ?? - and can be done as a Stocks/Shares mini ISA ?

Probably as its not unit linked
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
  • Someone previously said though:
"Any Stocks & Shares ISA that guarantees at least 95% return of capital within 5 years is classed as a Cash ISA."

This one guarantees a 100% return, but is a Stocks & Shares ISA ??

Can anyone confirm please, as I am considering this one.

    Thanks

That sentence is not correct though. It only applies on unit linked ISAs.

  • Do you happen to know any others that are available (similar to this HSBC one) ???? - As a stocks and shares mini ISA.

    Thanks again

I just started the research software and it showed 48 products available in this area.

Where would I be able to find such a list ??

Thank in advance for your help,

Its research software that IFAs pay to use. Many of the products were only available through IFAs so it wouldn't be much use to you. However, you may want to give a local IFA a call and see which one they think is best. They should show you the research (or you can ask to see it if they dont).

I just did a software update on it and it now shows 65 guaranteed equity products available. You could probably eliminate half of those easily enough. I have always preferred the lock-on versions. Partly as I remember when the market went up, then down and it was only the locked in versions that had any return.

The Bristol & West versions don't look too bad but I have only glanced at the headline information and not the T&C. Keydata often tend to favour well too.

Dunstonh - Is it possible to take up one of these through you ??

    Thanks
