Tesco double the difference???

Do tesco still refund you double the difference or is it just in certain circumstances?? I was just charged for an item that i didnt have, they refunded me the overpricing, which is fine, but it was the cust service lady attitude that i have the problem with, when i asked her about the DTD policy she said...."you got your…

I just posted this on another board, but maybe it would be more relevant here

I was in Tesco yesterday and overcharged on an item. It was stickered at £1, but went through at £4.99. I went to CS and asked for DTD back-she told me she wouldn't give it to me, as I had used a self scan till & implied I could have done it on purpose! Wasn't at all happy, so have emailed Tesco. Is this the policy, or was she wrong?
