OK I have now found out what is going on. I phoned LG (god I'm becoming really sad)

Next have a bought out warranty with LG so OP you will have to back to Next.

One blasted call of less than 20 seconds is all it took to find out that information!!!

You should claim compo for your good deeds Hintza! OP, get said ogle box and take though to next and tell them yous want it fixing under warranty. OK. If you need the boys, normal charges apply, just ring Brenda at the Dog and Duck
  • Got to speak to Next today who initially agreed to replace the TV with one of the same value.
The advisor put us on hold, then came back and said there is no longer any warranty on the TV as the warranty starts the day the TV was ordered, and thus the warranty ran out on 22nd October. Despite the fact we rang them up on the 20th to start with makes no difference.

Are you still paying for it?

Who provided the finance on behalf of Next?

    They are jointly liable
  • Yes we are. I'm not sure, I presumed it was Next who provided the finance as we have a cataolgue with them. Either way they are adament now that the warranty started the day we ordered the TV, not when we took delivery of it.

The fact we reported this before that date makes no difference as a warranty claim wasn't filed then.

What is the point of a warranty then?

    It's a good question. I personally think they're pointless.

    Warranty starts when ordered!!!!!!!!!!!

That is absurd get on the phone and speak to someone who can sort this out for you. The warranty can only start when it is delivered!!

Freddie it's your turn call up Next and get this sorted for the OP.
